Queens Creek Guide To Star Rods

Don’t get the idea that Star doesn’t know its way around freshwater fish, either.

With dozens of styles in every line class and action, Star Rods has a rod for your favorite fish — whether it’s bass or snook, redfish or catfish, sailfish or muskie.

Built By Hand…

From making the blanks to fastening a tip top, from setting the reel seat to adding a stylish diamond wrap, Star Rods are still painstakingly built by hand, one at a time, to keep the records coming.  For more than 40 years, Star Rods have been proudly handmade, blending high-tech construction and American craftsmanship.

A rod is only as good as it’s guides…

That’s why Star Rods selects Fuji, AFTCO and Stuart guides for its rods.  Nobody makes harder, smoother guides than Fuji — guides that reduce friction and abrasion on fishing lines during long, tough battles with trophy fish.  And for roller guides, AFTCO and Stuart are know to be the world’s best.

Another important component of a world class rod is its reel seat.  Because even the smallest rattle or slip can rob you of your fish fighting power.  But with Star Rods, that won’t happen.  They’re fitted with Fiji or Stuart reel seats for a snug, wobble-free fit that’s durable, reliable and trouble-free.

From the tip-top to the rod butt…

Star Rods are designed for serious fishing.  The patented Power•Butt is an exclusive Star Rod invention.  The Power•Butt is made from a durable composite material that is kind to anglers and mean to fish.  Many times tougher than EVA foam, the comfortable Power•Butt is abrasion resistant, lightweight and draws from a rod holder more easily then EVA foam.

Outstanding Innovations

Quality components — meticulous construction — Only the finest graphite materials and durable E-Glass fibers are used to make Star rods blanks.  Innovations like the exclusive Duratech Technology adds sensitivity, strength and durability.

The Records…

Like those set by the Hogan family.  Owners of Georgia Taxidermy in Okeechobee, Florida, the Hogans have set more than 50 IGFA World Records using Star Rods.  The Hogans submit the rods to extreme pressures under the most grueling of circumstances and the family’s feedback is a key component in the continuous improvement of record-setting Star rods.
