Reel Service and Repair
All worn parts are returned with the reel. Queens Creek is a service center/parts distributor for Penn, Shimano, Abu-Garcia, Daiwa and for downriggers by Scotty, Cannon and Penn.
Service includes ultra-sound cleaning which does a thorough job of cleaning grit from gears and working parts but often does not remove stains from hands and oils that have been allowed to remain on the reel for extended periods of time. This is especially noticeable with light colored reels. These stains eventually become baked on and can not be easily removed without damaging the reel's finish. Therefore, if the ultra-sound bath does not budge the stain, we leave it.
We service and ship nationally and internationally. For domestic purchases, Mastercard, VISA, American Express and money orders in (US currency) are accepted forms of payment. Personal checks are accepted; however goods will not be shipped until the check clears the bank. We ship UPS Ground and Air, Parcel Post and Air Parcel Post. In-stock parts and accessories ordered by 12.:00 noon, Monday-Friday, are normally shipped within 24 hours.
For international customers, we accept bank wire transfers, cashier's checks and personal checks (allowing time to clear before shipment). We do not accept credit cards from certain countries due to high frequency of fraud.
If you intend to ask us to accept your credit card, expect to provide extensive documentation proving your identity and ownership of the card. As a minimum, new international credit card customers must fax (804-725-5510) or e-mail the following information:
 | Copy of a government photo identification, (passport or drivers license) showing signature and address. |
| A readable copy of the credit card (CC) front and back showing signature. |
| The first page of the previous month's CC statement showing name address and CC number. |
| A hand written signed authorization for Queens Creek Co. to charge the CC the appropriate amount. |
| Shipment of the order will only be made to the name and address shown on the billing statement. |
| Customs arrangements are YOUR responsibility. We will provide whatever documentation you request but will insure the shipment for full value to protect against loss. |

To send reels for repair or maintenance service, you may:
| E-mail us at sales@queenscreek.com to advise us you are sending reels and to specify any special instructions such as line to be spooled or updates and conversions to be made. Include the e-mail in the shipment so we can contact you by e-mail during repairs. |
| You may include your MasterCard, VISA or American Express card number and expiration date in the e-mail message or include it a letter in the shipment with the reels. In the letter, be sure to tell us of any particular problems you are having reel-by-reel. |
| Give us your mailing and shipping addresses and a daytime phone number. |
| If no credit card number is provided, we will advise you by mail of the charges and, upon payment, will return your reels. Reels left unclaimed over 90 days are considered abandoned. |
| Insure your shipment and pack it securely. |
| Please specify mode of return shipping desired and provide any applicable special instructions. |
A special note: We will service any brand reel; however, if your reel is a discontinued brand or model, parts are probably not available. As a rule of thumb, a reel that you bought for less than $50 is probably not worth fixing unless it has sentimental value. If your reel can't be repaired, you have the choice of allowing us to scrap the reel for parts at no charge or to have it returned to you assembled for a $12 bench fee, plus shipping.
Many manufacturers are discontinuing parts support for reels out of production 5 or more years.
We carry Smooooth Drag's advanced drag washers.
We stock factory authorized parts for Penn, Shimano, Abu-Garcia, Daiwa, Scotty and Cannon. All parts are priced at factory prices. Labor rates are fixed-rate and are shown below. Reels sent for service with line on them will be returned with the same line on them unless you ask to have them re-spooled. We stock and spool Ande line in Premium grades. If you want another brand spooled, specify your needs and we will obtain it, if at all possible. We also stock a wide selection of Power Pro braided Spectra lines and braided stainless wire line in various strengths by American Fishing Wire.
Labor Rates: (including frame conversions)
| - International type single speed trolling reels, including Shimano TBM's, $25.00 plus parts and shipping. |
| - International type two speed reels including Penn 2-speeds, Shimano TLD-2 Speeds and Tiagras: $30.00 plus parts and shipping. |
| - Conventional reels including Penn International baitcasters, Shimano Trinidads, and Calcuttas, Penn 6/0 (114) size and larger and single speed lever drag conventional reels such as Penn GLS and Shimano TLD single speed series: $20.00 plus parts and shipping. |
| - All others, including baitcasting and spinning reels--$17.00 plus parts and shipping. |
Downrigger service is $25.00 for manual units and $45.00 for electric units.
