BENEFITS: The Scotty Depthking has a number of exclusive features not
found in other downriggers; features that make the Scotty easier to operate
and that catch more fish. The automatic brake makes the downrigger easy
to use plus adds an important safety feature. Anytime you release the handle
the downrigger automatically stops. No other downrigger has this feature.
The Depthking 23" boom is carefully engineered so you can conveniently
reach the cable from a sitting position in the boat. The low profile horizontal
spool can be operated with either hand so you can work your fishing rod
with the other hand. The Depthking is also equipped with an exclusive built
in slip clutch that will slip if you hang up on the bottom so you will
not break anything. The Scotty design gives you the advantages of natural
electrolysis (positive ion control) on your downrigger wire. The downrigger
is engineered so that you will have a slight positive charge on your cable.
Many species of fish are strongly attracted to this charge.
